Every substantive correction is recorded here, with the date and what changed.

Why this page exists

This site tells readers to check dates and sources. A site giving that advice cannot quietly amend its own mistakes.

A visible correction costs a little credibility once. An invisible one costs all of it when found.

What counts as a correction

Logged here: a factual error, a misattributed figure, a vendor figure presented as independent, a regulation described inaccurately, or a recommendation reversed.

Not logged: typographical fixes, clarified wording that does not change meaning, and figures that were accurate at their stated check date.

The distinction that matters most here

Regulation in this area has changed twice in two years. The FTC's click-to-cancel rule was finalised in October 2024, vacated by the Eighth Circuit in July 2025, and new rulemaking began in March 2026.

Any site written before July 2025 and not updated is currently telling readers something false. That is the failure mode this page exists to prevent.

When a cited rule or figure is superseded, the update is added to every article citing it, with the same prominence as the original, and noted here.

Prices and platform behaviour

Subscription prices, free-tier limits and cancellation flows change without announcement. Where this site describes them it describes them as of the stated date, generically rather than by product, and without naming specific companies.

If a described mechanic no longer matches how the industry works, that is worth reporting and will be corrected.

Reporting one

Say what is wrong and why. Corrections are the most useful message this site receives.

The log

No corrections have been logged yet. This site is new, and an empty log means only that — not that no errors exist. When one is found it will appear here with the date it was published, the date it was corrected, and what was wrong.
